The mystery is what to seek.
Mystery means that which you can seek, but by the time you find it, you will not be there. We can hold facts in our hand, but there is no way we can hold mysteries in the hand.
Gurbani says: Ask and you will find. Jo mangey thakur apne te soi soi devey. But ask what? Seek what? That is the mystery. The real treasure is that which even death cannot take away from you. All else is like a line on the water, which is here now and will not be here the next moment. Everything is transient, temporary and short-lived.
Gurbani says: Main kya mango kichh thir na rahayee Hari deejey naam piyari jio. Therefore, seek that which is permanent, immortal. And, that is within us. It is already with us, but we have to seek it because we have forgotten it.
