Maya is the name of the art of unconsciousness inside you. It is the name of your state of sleep. You live your life like a somnambulist. And you are surrounded by dreams all around.

Therefore, meditation is useful, because meditation is an experiment to break maya. It is an experiment to see how to wake you up and maya will fall into pieces.

And, when you look at the world in full wakefulness, you will not find the world; you will see only God. As long as maya (sleep) is inside you, it is impossible to see the truth.
