ਤੁਮਰੀ ਆਸ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਤੁਮਰੀ

Tera naam boond hum chatrik tikhhare.

Tumri aas pyasa tumri

tum hee sang mann leena jio.1.

You are the fountainhead of water

We are your tiny fishes.

You are the drop of water

We are the thirsty birds.

We long for you, heart and soul.

ਜਿਉ ਬਾਰਿਕੁ ਪੀ ਖੀਰ ਅਘਾਵੈ।।
ਜਿਉ ਨਿਰਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ।।
ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾਵੰਤ ਜਲੁ ਪੀਵਤ ਠੰਡਾ
ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਨਾ ਜੀਉ।। ੨ ।।

Jio barik pee kheer aghavey.

Jio nirdhan dhan dekh sukh pavey.

Trikhvant jal peevat thanda

tio hari sang eh mann bheena jio.2.

Like the infant sucks milk and is happy

Like the poor feels happy when he sees money

Like the thirsty drinks water and is satisfied.

Likewise my heart longs for you.

ਜਿਉ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੈ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਾ।।
ਭਰਤਾ ਚਿਤਵਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ।।
ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਜਿਉ ਹੋਤ ਅਨੰਦਾ
ਤਿਉ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਰੰਗੀਨਾ ਜੀਉ।। ੩ ।।

Jio andhiarey deepak pargasa.

Bharta chitvat puran aasa.

Mil pritam jio hot ananda

tio hari rang mann rangeena jio.3.

Like a lamp dispels the darkness

Like the arrival of the husband

Removes all the sorrows and showers the joy of meeting

Likewise my heart is dyed in your hues.

ਸੰਤਨ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ।।
ਸਾਧ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਗਿਝਾਇਆ।।
ਹਰਿ ਹਮਰਾ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸੇ
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਬਦੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਚੁ ਦੀਨਾ ਜੀਉ।। ੪ ।।

Santan mo ko hari marag paya.

Saadh kripal hari sang gijhaya.

Hari hamra hum hari ke dasey

Nanak sabad guru sach deena jio.4.

The saints have shown me the way.

In their company I have felt your presence

You are my master and I am your slave

You have revealed the truth through your word.
