ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਮੈਗਲੁ ਕਹਾ ਬਸੀਅਲੇ ਕਹਾ ਬਸੈ ਇਹੁ ਪਵਨਾ।।
ਕਹਾ ਬਸੈ ਸੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਅAਧੂ ਤਾ ਕਉੁ ਚੂਕੈ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਭਵਨਾ।।
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲੇ ਤਾ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਪਾਏ।।
ਆਪੈ ਆਪੁ ਖਾਇ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਧਾਵਤੁ ਵਰਜਿ ਰਹਾਏ।।
ਕਿਉ ਮੂਲੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਆਤਮੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਕਿਉ ਸਸਿ ਘਰਿ ਸੂਰੁ ਸਮਾਵੈ।।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹAਮੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਖੋਵੈ ਤਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ।।੬੪।।

Eh mann maigal kaha baseealey kaha basey eh pavana.
Kaha basey su shabad Avdhu ta ko chookey mann ka bhavana.
Nadar karey ta satgur meley ta nij ghar vasa eh mann paaye.
Aapey aap khaye ta nirmal hovey dhavat varaj rahaaye.
Kyu mool pachhaney atam jaaney kyu sas ghar soor samavey.
Gurmukh haumei vichoh khovey tau Nanak sahaj samavey.64.

इह मन मैगल कहा बसीअले कहा बसै इह पवना।।
कहा बसै सु सबद अवधू ता को चूकै मन का भवना।।
नदर करे ता सतगुर मेले ता निज घर वासा इह मन पाए।।
आपै आप खाए ता निरमल होवै धावत वरज रहाए।।
क्यों मूल पछाणै आतम जाणै क्यों ससि घर सूर समावै।।
गुरमुख हउमै विचों खोवै तौ नानक सहज समावै।। 64।।

Question: Where does this huge elephant (mind) live? And where does the breath reside?
And where does the Naam reside by which the mind’s wanderings end?
Answer: With the compassionate Guru’s grace the mind finds its home within itself
By destroying the ego, the pure consciousness checks the wandering of the mind.
Question: How to recognise the real? How to illumine the cold and dark moon?
Answer: The only way is to kill the ego, then you dissolve in the whole effortlessly.
