ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਜਨਮੇ ਗਵਨੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ।।
ਅਨਹਤਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਇਆ।।
ਮਨਸਾ ਆਸਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ।।
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਪਾਈ।।
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਮੇਟੇ ਖਾਈਐ ਸਾਰੁ।।
ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾਰੇ ਤਾਰਣਹਾਰੁ।। ੨੦।।

Satgur ke janamey gavan mitaaya.
Anhat raatey eh mann laaya.
Mansa aasa shabad jalaayee.
Gurmukh jot nirantar payee.
Trai gunn metey khaayeeye saar.
Nanak taarey taaranhaar. 20.

सतगुर कै जनमे गवन मिटाया।।
अनहत राते इह मन लाया।।
मनसा आसा सबद जलाई।।
गुरमुख जोत निरँतर पाई।।
त्रै गुण मेटे खाईए सार।।

Answer: With the grace of the Guru,
I am liberated from the cycle of birth and death.
My mind is attuned to the unstruck sound of Omkar.
The sound of Naam has dispelled my hopes and desires.
And the eternal light illuminates my heart.
Getting past the three states of being I have attained the fourth
Which is, as you say, like eating iron without teeth.
