ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਦੰ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵੇਦੰ
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ।।
ਗੁਰੁ ਈਸਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਰਖੁ ਬਰਮਾ
ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਰਬਤੀ ਮਾਈ ।।
ਜੇ ਹਉ ਜਾਣਾ ਆਖਾ ਨਾਹੀ
ਕਹਣਾ ਕਥਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ।।
ਗੁਰਾ ਇਕ ਦੇਹਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ।।
ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਇਕੁ ਦਾਤਾ
ਸੋ ਮੈ ਵਿਸਰ ਨ ਜਾਈ ।। ੫ ।।

Gurmukh rahya samayee.

Gur eesar gur gorakh barma

Gur parbati mayee.

Je hau jana akha nahi

Kahna kathan na jayee.

Gura ik de bujhayee.

Sabhna jian ka ik data

गुरमुख रहिआ समाई।।

गुरा इक देहि बुझाई।।
सभना जीआ का इकु दाता

The all-pervasive deity is my guru

His word is all the scriptures put together

He is theVedas and Upanishads for me

He is the creator, sustainer and destroyer

His word is the gods and goddesses for me.

I have not the ability to express in words.

Grant me but one wish, my Lord!
